Do You Believe Poll Results are Credible? Perhaps that should be the topic for Adexa's next poll. The results, accurate to within + or - 5%, 9 times out of 10, would probably find that most of us do believe in poll results, and, sometimes, that influences the strategies we develop to address particular issues. Adexa has been polling its website visitors on a variety of issues for several months, and the results of some of those polls are contained in this article. They do not represent a wide enough sample of the population to state, with certainty, that this is how people feel, but, nevertheless, we hope you'll find the results to be interesting. One other thing about polls is that people tend to pay more attention to them when they relate to topics that are, already, top-of-mind. We want our polls to be that way, and if you could help by suggesting some topics for us, it would be greatly appreciated. Send us your suggestions, by email, to marketing@adexa.com. And if we use your poll on the website, we'll send you a yo-yo that lights up or some other exotic prize from our trade-show leftovers collection. Here, then, are the results of some of our past website polls: Which of these areas does your business urgently need to improve? Demand Planning (27.10%) Supply Chain Planning (29.03%) Collaboration (10.97%) Finance and Budget Planning (9.68%) Reporting and Analysis (9.03%) Corporate Strategy definition & execution (14.19%)
These results speak of the everyday supply and demand pains that all manufacturers feel, and maybe a little frustration over the executive team not being able to translate its objectives into operational plans.

End Quote Even in the Northeast, Spring has finally sprung. We thought it might be nice to end this newsletter with a quote that captures the essence of the season...perhaps "April hath put a spirit of youth in everything" (Shakespeare) or "All things seem possible in May" (Edwin Way Teale). In searching for the perfect quote, one must use certain key words associated with Spring, grass and birds, for example. This led us to one of the less famous, but still universally relevant, phrases of wit and wisdom from one of the most quoted men of all time, Muhammad Ali. "It's just a job. Grass grows, birds fly, waves pound the sand. I beat people up." << Previous
