Let the People Decide
By Cyd Durden, Manager, Marketing Communications, Adexa There's a novel concept huh? Adexa is presenting a customer summit this November tenth and eleventh, and our customers determined every facet of it. We thought we'd share with you the customer feedback that shaped our agenda for the event.
First, a little background. Adexa recognizes that manufacturers have been going through some extremely challenging times for the last few years. In many cases, demand slowed to a crawl, and point of sale prices, profit margins and returns to shareholders were down. We understand that new technology purchases are hard to justify for companies feeling the squeeze, but, on the other hand, Adexa has solutions that can help ease the pressure, and our customers should know about them. The challenge was to design a customer summit that would deliver as much helpful information as possible, without making it into a sales-pitch. We reasoned that the best way to do that was to poll our customers and let them determine the agenda for the summit. The poll found that the top three elements Adexa customers wanted us to feature were customer case studies, product and technology roadmaps and networking opportunities. So those are the main elements we'll deliver. Case studies from Maytag, Pulse Electronics, Analog Devices and Skyworks Solutions will be featured, as well as a valuable industry insight presentation from Ann Grackin, the CEO of ChainLink Research. For networking, a reception is planned for Monday evening we'll wrap up early on Tuesday to provide time for a round of golf or other leisure activities. Adexa's product and technology roadmaps for the short and long terms will be unveiled, and we'll also feature breakout sessions for participants to "go deep" on issues that are common to their particular industries. Las Vegas was chosen because it offered the right balance of leisure and…er…cultural activities. If you have not yet registered for the summit there may still be time to do so.
